About Violet Morrison
Violet is in 1st grade at the Henry B. Burkland School. She tries very hard in school and she loves all of her classmates. She was born with Trisomy twenty-one, aka “Down Syndrome”. She is filled with compassion and has a sarcastic sense of humor! She is known throughout her town in which she thrives. She wants to earn the title Honorary Mayor to serve as an example for others, so that all can see abilities, and not disabilities.

About Jesse Heikkila (2006 - 2014)
Jesse was a classmate and friend of Violet. During his 3rd birthday, Jesse went to Children's Hospital in Boston. Jesse was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma. His five year battle with cancer demonstrated his incredible bravery, indomitable will, and unwavering strength. He was shy, reserved, stubborn, protective, and empathetic. He loved Star Wars and Batman, as shown on his monument. Jesse is buried at the Cemetery at The Green.
