These are our funds. The indicate our greatest needs. The contribution form does have a big blank box and if you wish to earmark your contribution to one of our funds then write the name of the fund into that box.
"General Operations" - This fund is Unrestricted. Donations to this fund allow the charity to operate, and allow us to address immediate needs. Unless specifically designated, all contributions are earmarked for this fund.
"Cleaning Headstones with D/2 Biological" fund - This fund is Temporarily Restricted. Donations will be spent purchasing D/2 Biological Solution and the supplies needed to use the product properly. We need donations to this fund, in order to clean headstones and conduct our workshops.
"__________ Cemetery Restoration" funds - These funds are Temporarily Restricted. Donations will be spent at the Middleborough cemeteries that you designate. These funds can be used to advance Eagle Scout projects, to remove trees and invasive plants (Poison Ivy!), to restore damage due to nature or vandalism, to document the cemetery, to restore the fences and walls, and to make cemeteries "comfortable for the living". Cemeteries are often able to access matching grants, and these funds will allow this charity to provide for the match. The opportunities enabled by these funds are limited only by the imagination, and we are trying to be innovative! If there is an issue with a cemetery that you designate, we will contact you.
"Nemasket Hill Cemetery Road Restoration" fund and "Nemasket Hill Cemetery Chapel Restoration" fund - These funds are Temporarily Restricted. These fund names speak to the need being addressed. Photo galleries will make the issues more obvious.
Permanently Restricted Funds: Due to the many restoration needs of our burial grounds, we are not yet working to establishing this type of fund. However - If you wish to make a donation that would establish a Permanently Restricted Fund for any burial ground, we will happily work with you!
