Elisha Waterman (August 14, 1794 - February 4, 1871) FindaGrave memorial - (He has an entry on page 136 of "The Waterman Family". It states that "In the War of 1812, he was impressed on the ship Vesta." and "Among the Prisoners of War from Mass., 1812-1815, was Elisha Waterman, Private, taken at Fort Niagara 19 Dec. 1813, aged 29, height 5'9"., stout, visage oval brown, hair dark brown, eyes blue, burn on forehead [Collections of Essex Institute, 63-229]. It is probable that the stated age, 29, should read 19.") The rank on his gravestone reads Captain.
