The mission of Friends of Middleborough Cemeteries is to provide assistance to all Middleborough cemeteries. Assistance comes in many forms. We can do "all things cemetery", and what we do is up to our Volunteers.

Our most noticeable efforts revolve around "Preserving our Gravestones". There are 1000s of gravestones in town and many date back centuries. Documenting, cleaning, and restoring each of them will take years.

Genealogy is one of the most popular hobbies in America. Middleborough was established in 1656, and many "Heritage Tourists" return to Middleborough and visit our cemeteries to connect with their ancestral home town.

Veteran's Team - this charity's effort to complement Middleborough's ongoing efforts while fulfilling one of our founding purposes. From 2015 through 2017, this charity cleaned over 440 gravestones during our "Civil War Gravestone Preservation", initiative. During 2018, we partnered with Wreaths across America
