The FoMC started as part of the vision of Rhonda Roberts. She organized and inspired the cleanup of the Tack Factory Cemetery during July of 2010. In the story published in the Middleborough Gazette on July 29, 2010, she is quoted as stating "I'm currently trying to get a cemetery association in Middleboro" and "There's a meeting on August 13 to discuss creating an association". The first meeting of the Friends of Middleborough Cemeteries was held on March 10, 2011. Our Articles of Organization and our Bylaws were adopted at the meeting held on May 12, 2011.

There was a previous effort to work on behalf of the cemeteries in town. This effort looks like it ended in July 2006. A box of records were given to Paul Provencher in September 2012. The records belonged to Joe Runci. All of those records will be posted to this page.

There was a CD and prints in the box, and here are those photos.
